20/40 Society-
The 20/40 Society is dedicated to rendering service to the Church and community.  The 20/40 Society visits nursing homes and promotes activities that highlight the African-American culture.  They are supporters of the scholarship fund, and purchase clothes and toys for the homeless.
 
Alice A Geary Fellowship Club- The main objective of The Fellowship Club is to promote fellowship, compassion, and love.  This is accomplished by visiting the sick and shut-in and having fellowship activities for senior citizens.  They also facility Everybody’s Birthday Party which brings family and friends together annually
 
The Brice Gospel Chorus-
The Brice Gospel Chorus provides music for Sunday service and special occasions.  They also provide Christian fellowship and biblical understanding to sustain their faith and witness.  Their talents are dedicated to the building of God’s kingdom.  They also perform outside the church at various functions.
 
Celestial Choir-
The Celestial Choir is dedicated to their participation in the up building of God’s kingdom by leading the congregation in singing during Sunday worship service.  They sing anthems and spirituals and participate in various outside musical celebrations, worship experiences and concerts in addition to their annual Christmas Concert.
 
Christian Action Commission-
The Christian Action Commission was organized by our late Pastor, Dr. William H. Gray, Jr., as a service organization.  Each Thanksgiving, the CAC prepares and serves dinner for those in need of a holiday meal.  This project allows many volunteers from the Bright Hope family to share in service to our community
 
Deacon Auxiliary -
The Deacons’ Auxiliary is dedicated to the service of the Church by assisting Deacons with the spiritual matters of the Church.  They help with communion preparation, assisting candidates for baptism, acting as resource persons for new Church members and by supporting the new members classes.
 
Helping Hand Ministry-
The Helping Hand Ministry renders community support to seniors and caters to their special needs.  They work with seniors to help them learn about computers and assist children in hospitals.
 
Hospitality Club-
The Hospitality Club serves as official church Hosts and Hostesses, provides hospitality, and welcomes all visitors and new members and shows them Christian love.
 
The Mary Gray Women’s Ministry- helps the women of Bright Hope uplift themselves spiritually.  They mentor to the young girls of the Church and community, sponsor an annual spiritual retreat, and conduct a women’s prison ministry.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Missionaries Society-
assist the Pastor, ministerial staff, and Deacons in ministering to the sick, homeless, and needy.  They evangelize to the unsaved and demonstrate their faith through the study of God’s word and prayer.  They also distribute holiday gift baskets.
 
The Nurses Unit-
administers emergency care and comfort each Sunday to the members of Bright Hope.
 
The Pastor’s Aide Society-
provides support to the Pastor and ministerial staff.  The Pastor’s Aide is designed to give spiritual and loving support through words and deeds that encourage the ministerial team in their many tasks and responsibilities.
 
The Prayer Band-
A group of dedicated Christians who are committed to the service of the Lord through prayer.  They devote a great portion of the day and week to sincere prayer.  They visit the sick and conduct mid-week, Saturday, and Sunday morning prayer service.
 
The Presidents’ Council-  
is comprised of all Presidents of Bright Hope Baptist Church’s fellowship organizations.  The Presidents’ Council is designed to explore the important dynamics of faith development within the key leadership of our congregation.  The Presidents’ Council provides guidance as each ministry develops spiritually, service, mission, and ministry
 
The Pulpit Circle-
Assumes responsibility for the care of the Pulpit, maintaining the robes of the ministerial staff, and ministering to the sick and shut-in members.  They are also active with the Survival Program.
 
The Reapers Club-
Dedicated to establishing family support programs and rendering service to the families of the Church.  They sponsor symposiums which bring families together for a spiritual experience and social interaction.
 
The Ruth Sunshine Club-
Committed to bringing sunshine into the lives of those less fortunate needing food, clothing, and shelter.
 
The Scholarship Committee-
Fosters and supports educational advancement to the members of Bright Hope and the community.  They provide financial aid information, reward academic excellence and assist in the coordination of Career Day.
 
The Trustees’ Auxiliary-
Dedicated to the service of the Church, assisting the Pastor, ministerial staff, and Trustees with the financial matters of the Church.  They provide counsel and guidance in stewardship to the membership and sponsor membership activities.
 
The Usher Board and Ladies’ Auxiliary Board-
help set the spiritual tone for worshippers as they enter the sanctuary.  They render whatever service is necessary to bring comfort to members and guests.  They are also knowledgeable about worship services, church activities, and church facilities.
 
The Willing Workers-
Dedicated to the love and care of the Church and provide support whenever their assistance is needed.  They offer inspiration to those who are sick and shut-in.
